Dan was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. After graduating from Indiana University, he attended Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis, where he graduated summa cum laude.

After law school, Dan began his career in Indianapolis at one of the midwest's premier firms, Locke Reynolds LLP (now Frost Brown Todd LLC).

A significant portion of Dan's practice consists of business litigation, representing corporate clients in commercial disputes. Dan handles all aspects of such disputes, including initial investigations, settlement negotiations, alternate dispute resolution, motion practice, and trial.

Throughout his career, Dan has gained extensive litigation and trial experience. Dan has served as lead counsel in multiple bench and jury trials in State and Federal courts. Dan has also successfully briefed and argued numerous dispositive motions and appeals.

Dan also provides general counseling and risk management advice to businesses. Dan currently serves as outside general counsel to multiple companies. In that role, Dan helps businesses evaluate legal issues as they arise, prepares businesses to minimize their liability in the future, and provides business planning advice.

Dan is also committed to his family and community. Dan is married with two children. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Fort Wayne Rescue Ministries. Dan is also a member of the board of directors of the Northeast Indiana Chapter of the Risk Management Association, a banking industry organization. Dan is also a recent graduate of Leadership Fort Wayne.

Dan also loves golf and is active in his church.
